Practical Shock Class

This course focuses on the practical understanding of mechanical shock and the principles necessary to analyze and evaluate shock events. Sufficient mathematical background is provided to understand the basis of the analysis techniques used and their underlying theory; however, the course is not intended to be an in-depth mathematical treatment of the subject. The course also presents information of shock test types, test machines, test tolerances, and test fixture design. The course also provides some information on comparing shock severity, understanding failure types, and designing for shock survivability.  The registration fee is $1800 per student for the three day course.  The fee includes a printed copy of the course materials and the textbook: The Science and Engineering of Mechanical Shock.  Lunch and snacks are provided at the ShockMec Cedar Crest facility. Contact us for organization specific training fees.  The course outline and more details can be obtained by clicking the link below.
